NIGERIA INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORT TECHNOLOGY [NITT] ZARIA in collaboration with MULTIMIX ACADEMY CERTIFICATION IN LOGISTICS & SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMME MASTERS LEVEL INTRODUCTION The aim of this programme is to provide professional postgraduate-master's level education in logistics and supply chain management principles, theories and practice. The design of this programme will be a compendium of inputs from the academia and industry practitioners/experts. It offers a theorical and practical examination of the factor necessary for effective logistics and supply chain management in today's global and highly competitive market. STATUTES AND REGULATIONS The MLSCM programme shall be offered within the general academic regulations of NITT in collaboration with Multimix Academy for professional Master by examination , coursework and thesis. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS The requirement for admission to Master of Logistics & Supply Chain Management MLSCM programme are: i. Applicants must posses a first degree or HND in addition to: (a. NITT Post Graduate Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or (b. NITT Post Graduate Diploma in Transport and Logistics (c. Post Graduate Diploma in Logistics from an accredited institution. ii. Minimum of one year of cognate experience; iii. Statement from two referees. COURSE FEE The fees charged for the MSLCM programme covers tuition, course materials and study tour to University of Pretoria (S.A) excluding accommodation and feeding expenses,which the parpticipants will incur over their stay while attending the study tour programme. Extra incidental costs incured by the studentsduring their visits to partner institution for earning credits toward the programme will be met by the respective students. The fee covering Acceptance , Tuition, course materials,Library and a study tour of South Africa amounts to =N=990,000:00. The fees are payable in installments with a minimum of =N=200,000:00 at the point of enrolment. STUDY METHODS Students are mandated to have 70% lecture attendance as prerequisite for completion of the MSLCM programme. They are also encouraged to participant in class discussions, ask questions and express their ideas in assignments and feedback from assigned readings. This intensive course work requires prolific reading and studies to enhance quality of assignment which will be submitted in electronic format(in line with approved stenographics). This assignment will be subjected to a plagiarism sofware and reviewed & graded by our faculty. The programme will therefore require the students apply themselves to use the library and Internet resources effectively as well as read widely in their own preparatons for the lectures,assignments and presentations. THESIS / DISSERTATION Aim: To provide an opportunity for you to produce a final, original piece of written work that demonstrates your originality in the application of theory gained during your studies. The culmination of your MSc programme , this written project demonstrates your mastery and integration of all your prevoius learning. Thesis/dissertation is the cornerstone of any world-class university system . It is an original , scholarly work that applies your new knowledge and experience and allows you to prove your proficiency in the techniques you have studies. It must have merit beyond the scope of your particular need.
